My original plan was to tell you about a new article that is the centerpiece of Bookpool.com’s Open Source sale. It’s called “Making DVD Movies with Linux” and yes, it’s written by me. This article was a lot of fun and I do recommend that you check it out if you want to transfer those home movies to DVD using Linux.
I said original plan because I happened to discover that there is a second article out there by me that I didn’t even know about. Actually, it’s an excerpt from my new book and it’s available at InformIT.com (Pearson, who owns InformIT, is also the parent company of my publisher, Addison Wesley, so it’s okay 🙂 ).
Anyhow, you can find that article, which covers everything you need to know about setting up the server side of a thin client network, at this address. Incidentally, this is an excerpt from my new book,Moving to the Linux Business Desktop“.
Enjoy!
