VE Day

Lest we forget . . . Today is the sixtieth anniversary of VE Day, Victory in Europe. Sixty years ago today, the Germans surrendered to the Allied forces in Europe. The second World War was over, at least in that part of the world. The war in other parts of the world would not end for a few more months at which time some 68,000,000 people had died.
